New Technology Trend: AR and VR

Technology keeps improving and things that we’ve only imagined 10 years ago are real now.

Today, we’re tackling the technology of Augmented Reality “AR” and Virtual Reality “VR”. What are they? and the differences and similarities between them.

1- Augmented Reality “AR”

It’s a technology that blends the user environment with a virtual reality which means that it doesn’t create an artificial environment, but it uses the real environment while adding some information.

Augmented Reality “AR” can be used in experiencing different adventures and visiting new places with your friends who live in another country. Amazing right?

2- Virtual Reality “VR”

Unlike the Augmented Reality “AR”, the Virtual Reality actually creates a virtual environment which isolates the user from the surroundings that immerse him in a completely virtual environment and that’s by using VR headset similar to the Oculus Rift.

Virtual Reality “VR” can be used better in video games, architecture, sport, medicine, arts, and entertainment applications.

Though such great technology has numerous pros, but it has some cons as well.

For instance, unsocial people will be more unsocial as they may never leave their room after using these technologies. The virtual life will afford them everything they may need. However, it would help shy people to be more sociable.
